Lalbagh Botanical Garden

Lalbagh is a famous botanical garden in bangalore.It is a 240 acres garden and it is located in the south banglore.
This garden was originally started by Hyder Ali the ruler of mysore and later it was finished by his son Tipu sultan.it has four gates called North,South,East,
West gates.The southern gate is often reffered to as main gate and the northern gate is a big road leading to the glass house and it is primary exit.
The glass house in lalbagh is one of the main attraction it hosts two annual flower shows conducted on january 26th and august 15th.
It has many kinds of plants and also has trees over 100 years old.and so many rare trees which are labelled for easy identification.the big rock in the lalbagh is one the oldest rock and it has lake.
At the time of flower shows there are so many stalls like handicraft,artificial flowers,ayurvedic products,herbal products,different type of plants,gardening materials ,hand bags etc..

And in the summer season mangoes mela is conducted by the authorities the mela is conducted for almost 20 days in this different types of mangoes are available like mallika,badami,neelam and so many ...selled by framers not only mangoes in this mela we can find jack fruits stalls ,homemade made food products like appadams,pickles,chips etc.,prices of mangoes and jack fruits selling are less when compared to shops.
